For the services, activities, and programs of the organization, personal information may be requested on an online or paper form. This information is required in order to communicate with the users of the organization, tailor services to their needs, communicate with newsletter subscribers, offer specific services or activities, organize contests, provide updates on programs, or share any other relevant information.

Online, cookies are used to enhance the user experience on the organization’s website. As such, the organization automatically receives and records information about the users of its digital tools, including IP address, browser or device used, country of origin, originating website, and the content viewed.

Retention Period

The organization retains confidential and personal information for a maximum period of six (6) years, except for information that requires a longer retention period by law. After the established retention period, the data is destroyed in a manner that preserves confidentiality and data protection.

Access Requests

Users can request access to their personal user file by appointment and in the presence of the person responsible for the Protection of Personal and Confidential Information (RPRPC). The individual can correct inaccurate or incomplete information or request the removal of unauthorized information. To do so, the user can contact the organization by email at marleaul@gcsd.qc.ca.
